In the afternoon, we visited a monastery. The Yout-Saun-Kyaung Monastery built-in 1882 completely of wood. There are detailed ornate carvvings that surround the outside of the building that depict the different lessons of buddha.
Walking through the village, I realized that in the colonial times, this town must have been a major destination. There were plenty of old colonial houses. Although in disrepair, you could see that in it’s day, this must have been a fascinating place.
